Charles Haid (C.W. Rowe) was born in Palo Alto, California and graduated from Paly High. He is a Vietnam era vet and a 1968 graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University College of Fine Arts in Directing. He has acted in over 70 film and television credits including Hill Street Blues (four Emmy nominations) Criminal Minds,  Nip/Tuck, Third Watch, The Third Miracle, Working, Altered States and Who’ll Stop The Rain.

Directing credits include 10 Pilots and over 40 hours of episodic television including ER (Emmy Nominee and DGA Winner) NYPD Blue and The pilot of Murder One (Emmy and DGA nominations for both) the feature film Iron Will (Disney), and MOW’s The Sally Hemmings Story, Buffalo Soldiers (DGA nomination), Riders of the Purple Sage, and Cooperstown (Humanitas Prize), Nip/Tuck, Life Is Ruff (Disney Channel), Breaking Bad, CSI, Criminal Minds, In Plain Sight, The Closer, Grimm, and LOCKED UP/STAND UP pilot.

Producer: Godspell  (original production and worldwide), The Nightman, and The Court (for John Wells), Big Apple (for David Milch), Buddy Faro (for Aaron Spelling), Cop Rock (for Steven Bochco), Threat Matrix,  and High Incident (for Steven Speilberg).

Documentary: productions include the Emmy winning Who Are the DeBolts ? (and where did they get 19 Kids) for ABC,  Children In The Crossfire (Belfast, Northern Ireland) for NBC,  extensive on the ground KATERINA (Eye of The Storm) coverage for The American Red Cross, the short WHEELS for VIETNAM for UCP/Wheels for Humanity, and The Wiz comes to Silicon Valley.

    Charles was always and continues being a great / no superb character actor. Your’re fantastic and believable. Because of you I tuned into Thursday nights to watch Hill Street Blues. You’re a good guy – real! Hope all is well for you man!
